01 / BALLET

Technique meets imagination.

Children discover the building blocks of ballet through playful, age-appropriate movement. We practice foot and full-body coordination, stillness with proper ballet posture, flexibility, classic ballet positions, following instructions, jumps, turns, and more—all while learning to dance kindly alongside friends. We also love to perform whenever the school gives us the opportunity.

02 / HIP HOP

Find the beat. Make it your own.

Our young hip hop dancers explore rhythm through coordinated movement, body isolations, and easy-to-follow choreography. Games and group dances keep each class joyful as children practice focus, confidence, and moving together.

$100 monthly tuition includes four classes. $175 monthly tuition includes four ballet and four hip hop classes. One-time registration: $25; siblings: $10.

One Dance Florida — Dancing Through Life

Meet Claudia Kuwana.

A professional ballerina and devoted teacher who believes every child deserves to feel encouraged, valued, and excited to dance.

Claudia began her training at the Cuban National Ballet School in Havana, studying with renowned teachers Fernando Alonso, Mirta Hermida, Ramona de Zaa, and Loipa Araujo. She continued her education in Chile at the Teatro Municipal de Santiago’s ballet school and the Faculty of Arts at the University of Chile, graduating in 2009 with the award for Best Performer in Dance.

Her professional career includes Ballet de Santiago, Polaris Dance Theatre, Oregon Ballet Theatre, and BalletMet. She has taught throughout the United States, served as a guest teacher and international competition judge, and has been on the faculty of Miami City Ballet School since 2022.

Since 2019, Claudia has brought dance into daycare classrooms through One Dance Florida. Her classes combine professional knowledge with warmth, play, and age-appropriate discovery—giving young children a place to build confidence, explore their creativity, and feel proud of their progress.
